Many Laayo orders are not for the person holding the phone. Students order lunch for their parents. Someone working in another city or abroad sends dinner home. Friends treat each other on birthdays. This guide shows the ways Laayo helps you look after people.

## Can I order food for my family from another city or abroad?

Yes. Laayo works from anywhere, as long as the delivery address is in an area we cover, such as Birtamod or Damak.

1. **Install the app** on your phone and sign in with your mobile number.
2. **Set the delivery pin** to your family's home. Save it as an address, for example "Home in Birtamod", so it is ready next time.
3. **Add their phone number** in the delivery details, so the rider calls them, not you.
4. **Pay online**, with E-Payment or your Laayo wallet, so nobody needs cash at the door.

## What is Send a Treat?

Send a Treat is a way to order food as a gift. You choose the food, set the recipient's location and number, add a message, and pay in advance. The recipient gets a message with a link to follow their treat, and the rider calls them on arrival. Send a Treat is rolling out. ## How do Laayo gift cards work?

A Laayo gift card is a present the other person spends on whatever they like.

1. Choose a design, such as birthday, thank you or anniversary.
2. Choose the amount and enter the recipient's name with their phone number or email.
3. Add a message and pay.
4. The recipient gets a code by SMS or email, claims it in the Laayo app, and the value goes into their Laayo wallet.

Gift cards work well when you do not know what someone wants to eat, or when you want them to be able to order more than once.

## How do group orders work?

A group order lets several people add their own food to one order from one restaurant. The host starts the group, shares a link, and everyone adds what they want from their own phone. When everyone is done, the host checks out and pays, and the food arrives together. It is perfect for office lunches, family dinners and hostel nights. ## Can I order for an elderly parent who does not use smartphones?

Yes. Order from your own phone with their address and their phone number as the contact, and pay online. If they have hearing, vision or mobility needs, you can mention them in the delivery instructions so the rider knows how to hand over the food. ## What do festivals look like on Laayo?
