# Tracking your order, every status explained

After you place an order, Laayo shows you where it is at every step. This guide explains what each status means in plain words.

## How do I track my Laayo order?

After you tap Place order, the app takes you to the tracking screen on its own. You can also open it any time from your orders list. The tracking screen shows the current status, the estimated arrival time, the restaurant and rider details, and a map.

## What does each order status mean?

| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Placed | We have your order and sent it to the restaurant. |
| Accepted | The restaurant has confirmed it and will start cooking. |
| Preparing | The kitchen is making your food. |
| Ready for pickup | The food is packed and waiting for the rider. |
| Picked up | The rider has your food and is on the way. |
| Delivered | The order has reached you. |
| Cancelled | The order was cancelled, by you, the restaurant or Laayo. Any online payment is refunded. |

## When can I see the rider on the map?

You see the rider's live position once your food is on its way. Before that, the map shows the restaurant and your address. We keep rider locations private until they are carrying your order, which also means the map is always about your food, not about someone's whole day.

## What does "delayed" mean?

Laayo shows an estimated arrival time that updates as your order moves, using how long the kitchen usually takes, where the rider is and the road distance to you. If the order falls behind what we expected, the app tells you it is delayed and gives a new estimate, instead of quietly showing a time that has already passed. ## How do I contact my rider or the restaurant?

Open the order. You can chat with the restaurant and, once a rider is assigned, with the rider, all in one thread for that order. You can also call them from the order screen. Read [One order, one chat](https://blog.laayo.com.np/one-order-one-chat).

## Can I share my order tracking?

Yes. From the tracking screen, tap Share to send a link. Anyone can open it in a browser to follow the order, without the app. The link shows only that order's progress and, once it is on the way, the rider on the map. ## Can I cancel my order?

You can usually cancel an order from the app while it is still early, before the restaurant starts preparing it. Once the kitchen is cooking, cancelling may not be possible, because the food is already being made for you. If something has gone wrong, use Help in the order and we will look at it. When you cancel, the app asks you to type a short reason in your own words, which helps us fix real problems. ## Can I change my address after ordering?

Small changes, such as a landmark or directions, can be sent to the rider through the order chat. For a different address, contact support quickly from the order, before the rider picks up the food.
